For the past two decades, the rate of global food production has increased faster than the rate of global population growth.

 

Currently, the world produces enough food to feed TWICE the world's present population. Even then, 11% of the population on earth are UNDER NOURISHED.

To put things in perspective,

Food waste is a major problem not just in India, but in the entire world. Tackling this issue is any way possible would have a very positive impact on the environment and on all beings.

Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed by micro-organisms and RECYCLED AS A FERTILIZER and soil amendment.

// Self Watering

Self-watering planters have a pot that holds the plant and soil, and a bottom reservoir that holds the water. A polyrope wick (water absorbent) joins the two and pulls the water up to the soil as and when needed.
